A Message from the
Executive Director -- Keith Jones Welcome to Our Website: It is an exciting time to be a resident of Northwest Alabama. National Alabama recently announced its plans to construct a $350 million dollar facility in Colbert County at the Barton Riverfront Industrial Park. The company will manufacture rail cars with a projected employment of 1,800 jobs within three to five years. In the late spring, Toyota also announced that they plan to construct their 9th U.S. assembly plant in Blue Springs, MS. Blue Springs is located within one to two hours driving time for the entire NACOLG region. A significant economic development project is currently considering the City of Guin for a manufacturing site. A decision is forthcoming. Also, Alabama Highway 157 has finally been completed. Now, the region has three connections to the interstate highway system of Alabama. On behalf of the NACOLG staff, I encourage you to come and discover "Northwest Alabama," and experience the excitement! We are committed to serving the needs of the residents of Northwest Alabama.
