The Medicaid Waiver program provides home and community based services to those persons who are recipients of Supplemental Security Income, State Supplementation and who demonstrate a degree of disability and frailty that might otherwise require nursing home placement.

Homemaker, Unskilled Respite Care Services, Skilled Respite Care, Personal Care Services and Companion services are provided through this program.

Medicaid Waiver participation has increased 22% this year as a result of enrollments, growing from 166 to 202 clients. In response to this growth, the NACOLG staff now includes six case managers working throughout the five-county region.
