Department of Aging Services
 

The NACOLG/Department of Aging Services was established in 1974 to serve the over 60 population of Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale, Marion & Winston Counties. Federal, State and local resources have enabled the Department of Aging Services to provide coordination of a wide array of services throughout northwest Alabama.
 

The Department is a designated Area Agency on Aging by the State of Alabama’s Department of Senior Services which operates and administers the provisions of the Older American’s Act of 1965   As Advocates for the Aging Population, it is our desire and mission to promote independence and dignity for those we serve through a comprehensive and coordinated system of quality services.
