C.A.R.D Sponsors 10th Annual Alzheimer's Symposium

The Coalition of Alzheimer's & Related Disorders (C.A.R.D.) is sponsoring its 10th annual Alzheimer's Symposium on Thursday, November 6, 2003 at the Florence Conference Center.  This workshop will focus on the caregiver's needs and responsibilities when dealing with patients of Alzheimer's, Dementia or Parkinson's Disease. 

Featured speakers include Dr. Richard Powers, geratric psychiatrist and neuropathologist who oversees Alabama's Dementia Education & Training Program as well as Sandy Queen, who has over 20 years experience in training and development in the healthcare field and is well known for her energetic stage presence and motivational speeches.  For more information or to register for the day-long event, call the local C.A.R.D. office at 256/766-5726.  Scholarships are available which will cover the registration costs.
