For over 20 years NACOLG Transit
has provided safe, reliable, and specialized transportation to the citizens of
northwest Alabama. NACOLG Transit covers the
counties of Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Marion,
and Winston counties in northwest Alabama.NACOLG Transit provides localized
public transportation which is available for
everyone to use.
Approximately half of NACOLG’s
fleet of 57 buses is ADA (Wheelchair Lift) equipped.
The NACOLG ADA buses have from one (1) wheelchair
securement position up to eight (8) wheelchair
securement positions per bus.
NACOLG Transit system in addition
to general public transportation also serves over 20
senior centers and has daily contract routes. These
contract routes provide transportation for low
income individuals and individuals with
disabilities.
During the 2009 fiscal year NACOLG
Transit had in excess of 231,000 passenger trips.
NACOLG
Transit hours of operation is from 7:00 A.M.
til 5:00 P.M.
