Job Description:

Provides local and regional planning assistance to member governments and regional organizations. Work is specific to the assigned area and includes developing and reviewing planning projects; coordinating studies including master plans and facilities planning; administering and coordinating data collection, the conduct of major programs, and the activities of advisory boards; developing and explaining context-specific urban design projects including revitalization and redevelopment proposals, master plans and comprehensive planning; and implementing plans through the development of appropriate development code provisions.

 

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in community planning, urban studies, landscape architecture or related field supplemented by experience in economic and community development involving urban design and the development of master plans, redevelopment plans, or similar design-orientated education and experience. Master's degree in community planning, landscape architecture or a closely related field may substitute for experience.
